Good food is when even the most beautiful panorama becomes just a backdrop.
Because air, views, and love alone don’t fill you up – that’s why, at our hotel with half board South Tyrol, we spoil you from morning till night with authentic regional delicacies. With ingredients that taste of home and aromas that tell stories – all surrounded by the breathtaking mountains of Val Venosta.
… can of course be found in the Watles kitchen: here, ingredients are chopped, sautéed, seasoned, marinated, flambéed, mixed, baked, and roasted. Head chef Michael and his team surprise not only our guests but also us time and again with creative ideas and extraordinary creations.
Host Georg also cooked for many years in the hotel and created some legendary recipes that are still served on your plate today. Particularly popular are the pasta aglio e olio and the legendary Watles noodles, fondly remembered by many connoisseurs.
Glittering chrome, a touch of nostalgia – and irresistible desserts.
Why does indulgence always taste even better when it’s unexpected?
In our Classic Car Museum, a regularly held dessert buffet awaits,
turning a classic car collection into a delicious surprise.
Sweet and savoury temptations that delight young and old alike.
… leaves nothing to be desired: panoramic views at their finest. However, these seats are reserved exclusively for our best rooms.
… delivers on its promise: full of light and located right next to the Panorama Lounge, it becomes a true eye&minsus;catcher.
… has that certain something: cosiness in every corner – thanks to the perfect mix of alpine flair and natural materials.
… offers the greatest charm: the panelled Swiss stone pine farmhouse parlour is the oldest and most traditional of all the Stuben. As Grandpa Luis always said: “The true South Tyrolean always sits in the Sesvenna Stube.”
The wine cellar in our hotel with half board in Val Venosta holds around 200 hand-selected labels – fine Barolos, passionate Italian wines, and true South Tyrolean character wines. Our credo? Quality over quantity. This is where rarities are stored that you might rarely come across elsewhere – unless you stay with us. Once a week, newcomers and connoisseurs alike are invited to join our sommeliers Tanja and Philipp (son of the house) for a wine tasting and immerse themselves in the wide world of wines. Not only is it about trying, but also about experiencing: philosophical, heartfelt, and always with a little something extra in the glass – naturally well accompanied!
Yes, we offer our in-house guests a small lunch menu. Please note that this service is not included in the price.
Please let us know about any food intolerances or allergies before your arrival, so we can cater to your needs in the best possible way.
Creating the seating plan is rather complex. We kindly ask for your understanding that, for organisational reasons, we cannot reserve specific table numbers or seats in advance.
If you are arriving as a group, please inform us in advance so we can ensure you are seated together.
In principle, the dessert buffet in the Vintage Car Museum takes place once a week. The day may vary depending on the summer or winter season, so it is advisable to ask shortly before booking to make sure you don’t miss this magical evening.
Dinner consists of five courses and is designed as a choice menu. You decide according to your taste: Would you prefer a cold or warm starter, a soup, or perhaps a drink instead? For the main course, you can choose between meat, fish, or a vegetarian option. And for dessert, you may select your favourite sweet indulgence.
Outstanding was how the entire team responded to my daughter’s lactose intolerance. We had never experienced anything like it. They were so attentive and pampered Denise from the very first moment. She – like the rest of us – fully enjoyed it. Truly a very special hotel that we can wholeheartedly recommend! THANK YOU, we will definitely be back.
