Route description:
From the village of Sulden, follow the path to the old chapel. Turn onto the forest path, cross the moraine of the Ferner mountain until you reach the Marletschneide, where you will see the Tabaretta Hut (2,556 metres). Follow the ridge, which is between Sulden and Trafoi - passing the Bärenscharte - until you reach the Payer Hut (3,029 metres), which is right at the climbing point to the huge King Ortler glacier. Impressive panoramic views!
