Route description:
Starting point is the car park at the Schlumsbach in Freiberg (1,400 metres) just above Kastelbell. From here, follow path number 7 until you come to the Marzon Alm (1,600 metres). Just above the Alm, at the fork in the road, take the steep path number 18 to your left and ascend approximately 1,800 metres. Cross the forest road and walk through the beautiful scenery to the Zirm Valley lakes and a small Alpine hut at the altitude of 2,114 metres. It is possible to stretch your hiking trip a little bit by walking along path number 18A up to a height of 2,588 metres. The return journey is on the same route as the ascent or via the Tomberg (path number 9) to Tschars.
