Route description:
Starting point of this idyllic hiking trip is the ice-rink stadium of Latsch. Follow path number 5 in the direction of Morter, a beautiful new path along irrigation channels (drained) and the Castle Obermontani. Visit the castle's St. Stephan's chapel.
Return journey to Latsch: Take the path to the Untermontani ruins until you come to the wooden bridge and the Bierkeller-Mareinwaal. Or walk along the Plafadweg to Latsch.
Alternative and longer route: Castle Obermontani - asphalted road until you come to the Martell Road. Cross the bed of the Plima stream and walk in the direction of Martell until you reach the bridge. Short ascent to the romantic Rautwaalweg to Morter. Return journey to Latsch on the same routes.
