Once a cultural and trade route of the Roman Empire, it is now a highlight for culture lovers and cyclists: the Via Claudia Augusta. A stretch of 80 km of the 700 km long bike route leads thorough Vinschgau, and provides a true Mecca for bike tours. From Reschen Lake, the trail leads slightly upwards along the river Etsch to the spa town of Meran and on towards the south. Along the route you will see interesting sights, cultural sites and of course guesthouses, where your physical well-being will be taken care of.
Some highlights along the Etsch cycling route:- The sunken church tower in Reschen Lake
- The Medieval town Glurns
- Laas – the village of marble
- Kastelbell Castle
- Prokulus Chapel in Naturns
